Recently, in a 60 minutes story an investigative Journalist said that if you know about data brokers you would unplug your computer and throw away your Iphone. In a video interview to a private TV, she asks that how to secure you privacy via online and how to stop companies stealing your data?
Actually, in the 60 minutes story she was questioned about her latest book “Dragnet Nation: A Quest for Privacy, Security and Freedom in a World of Relentless Surveillance” that was published last month and she had unveiled shocking revelations about the data brokers.
She has been working on online piracy since a long time and considers this area of interest as a part of her life. She said that “I have learned many things from this interest and I know very well how to keep data brokers off to trail my privacy”.
Furthermore, she was of the opinion that “Confidentiality is very necessary for an investigative journalist and I take this online piracy very seriously”. Angwin is a former reporter of Wall Street Journal and investigative journalist at ProPublica.
